Dental bonding involves adhering composite resin material to the surface of a tooth. The composite resin can be contoured and shaped to create that perfect smile.

What Does Dental Bonding Involve?

First the surface of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it in place. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with an intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a lustrous finish as a last step.

Dental bonding is one of the least expensive things you can do to improve the appearance of your smile.  Bonding general runs between $90-$300 per tooth, but may be slightly higher for more complex cases.
